Fort Umpqua Days in Elkton

Join us for our annual Fort Umpqua Days celebration on September 2 & 3. There will be a parade at 10am Saturday morning, through town, as well as a two day bass tournament launches Saturday and Sunday morning with weigh-in and awards on Sunday afternoon.

The Wine Garden will be open all weekend!  Come see us, along with six other local wineries.

The Lion’s Club members will serve a pancake breakfast starting at 7am each day on the greenhouse patio. The butterfly pavilion, craft and food booths, native plant nursery sales, and produce stand open at 9am each day. A display of art quilts by a coastal area quilter will be on view in the library. The gift shop and Outpost café will be open both days. Great food will be available from 11am daily at the ECEC booth.

Saturday there will be live music on the patio, preceding the pie auction. “Contra Swings”, from Coos Bay, performs fiddle and guitar tunes with a traditional contra dance rhythm. At 1pm, the auction of homemade pies begins with lively bidding for the fruit filled treats.

Both afternoons are highlighted by the musical pageant “Echoes of the Umpqua, The Original”, portraying the history of the area, written and performed by local residents. This year is the 13th season of the hometown production. Performances are held at the garden amphitheater, at 5pm.

Brandborg Winery will be hosting the Chuck Wagon Dinner on Saturday evening.  Admission to the dinner is $12.
